V-RIBBED AUTOMOTIVE BELTS
This system utilizes a floating idler which maintains constant belt tension on the drive. This fature reduces drive maintenance and the risks of over tensioning or under tensioning. The overall cost, space requirements and weight of the system is reduced since all the accessories are mounted in a fixed position, thus eliminating the need for complex mounting brackets for each accessory. The rib design ensure an even spread of pressure between belt and pulley. The contact area is three times is greater than that of a flat belt of the same width. And like other V belts it ensures a virtually perfect unbroken grip between belt flanks and pulleys grooves. MOTOROLA is the first small scale industry to manufacture V-Ribbed drive belts in India at their state of the art plant at Sonipat.

3. A textile cord reinforcement.     4. Rubber ribs
